After Boesen the Florist, the second establishment in Lakewood Falls is reeling from a robbery

This town’s second robbery in three weeks happened a little after noon Monday.
A man with a husky build and ski mask entered Thrift Plan Loan Company while only one employee was on duty and reportedly stole over $5,000.
“He put a paper bag on the counter and told me to put cash in it,” cashier Sadie Smythe said. The man had his hand in his pocket and made it seem to Smythe as if he had a gun.
Smythe has been an employee at the company for three years and never experienced a robbery before.
The other robbery, which occurred at Boesen the Florist’s three weeks ago, appears to be connected to the Thrift Plan robbery according to Detective Nils Trygstad who is working on both cases. “Not much crime happens here, so it’s unusual to have two.” Trygstad said.
Both cases include a man wearing a ski mask and having a husky build. Also both times the man had what seemed to be a gun in his pocket.
“We don’t have any leads at the moment, but we advise store owners in the area to not leave employees alone over the lunch hour and to keep their eyes open,” Trygstad said.
If anyone has any information on this incident or the suspect please contact authorities.
